Moor garden & boulder garden in Hagenburg
They are big and heavy and one can easily imagine how difficult it must have been to bring these rocks from thousands of kilometres to this place. They are called boulders, a stoney legacy of the last Ice Age. In the boulder garden Hagenburg, impressive exemplars are being presented and assigned to its place of origin.

Open-air Dinosaur Museum in Münchehagen

Lake Steinhude/ Island Fortress Wilhelmstein

Waterway intersection Minden

The Schillat-Cave, Hessisch Oldendorf
The Schillat-Cave situated near the legendary >Hohenstein<. Its attractive stalactite formations are unique in the Weserbergland. The trip through the mountainous world of the Schillat-Cave starts for visitors in a glass elevator. Among others, a >fairy tale forest< of calcite crystals awaits you. A special highlight is the 3-D slide-show with impressions of filigree stalactite formations of the strictly protected neighbouring >Riesenberg-Cave<.

Erlebniswelt Renaissance
The Theme Park Renaissance is one of Europe's most innovative leisure and culture projects with seven planed locations in the Weserbergland, three of those on the Schaumburger Land.
In September/October 2005, the EWR-locations in Hameln, Rinteln and Stadthagen were opened. For the Palace Bückeburg as centrepiece and special jewel of the Schaumburger Renaissance-building, work is at full blast for the opening.
With multimedia support (e-guider), at all locations, the visitor will perceive the Renaissance in a way as he was there >live< himself.

Rinteln
In Rinteln, the visitor can enjoy a theme walkabout through the former university town of the year 1623. According to the motto >Love dies last< one can re-experience the true event love story bewteen the student Adam and the mayor's daughter Lukretia. Start is in the city centre.

Stadthagen
The unique staging of the Reformation takes place at the location Stadthagen in the St-Martini-church and the affiliated mausoleum. For the theme >Luther and the countess - what does the guard know<, the visitor is being taken back to the restless time of the Reformation by lively audio drama and surprising sound backdrops by >contemporary witnesses<.
